26 weeks!

So I took some new pictures last night before bed. This is my 26 1/2 week belly. And yeah I'm only carrying ONE baby even though everyone thinks I'm either having twins or I'm full term. I guess we'll find out on March 6th if the baby is just big or I'm just big =)

And here are some more ultrasound pictures....

And here is a picture of the crib I built two days ago!

*Baby Things*

In case anyone needed to know about the baby registry...Jay and I registered at Target.com and Babiesrus.com under Natasha Daor or Jason Gerken.

Our registry might be a little sloppy at this point, there is so much stuff on those websites to chose from and I've obviously never done this before so I'm having a hard time organizing it. Today I went crib shopping with my grandpa and mom and it gave me a chance to look at some things we put on the registry. The Pooh crib bedding and matching nursery decor was really, really nice. Everything in the collection seems to be soooo soft and fuzzy. I think its even called the Soft and Fuzzy Pooh collection (I really want it BAD! teeheehee). The crib we picked out is also really, really nice. We have to wait 14 to 21 days until its shipped to the store, but here is a picture of it.....

We also picked out a nice mattress. I was surprised at how expensive just a crib and a mattress could be! I'm a lucky girl to have such a great grandfather because it would have taken me and Jay a few more months to save up that much money! So thank you grandpa and grandma, I love you. It was pretty funny watching my grandpa walk around the store with mom and I. He was really stuck on the idea that cribs should come with matresses and bedding for the price you pay (haha). He even pointed to some bedding and I had to remind him I was having a boy and not a girl. What was even more funny was when the girl who worked there came to help us with the mattresses and she was explaining how all of their mattresses are inspected and improved for the best quality, then she even pointed one out in particular to us. We were about to pay for the one that SHE told us to buy and it turned out that the mattress had just been recalled for defects and something hazardous about the plastic in it. Hahaha. But we ended up getting a nice Serta mattress instead which looks like its built better than both of my queen size mattresses. Anywho, most of the big stuff is out of the way now which is a relief! I can't wait until everything starts coming together with the nursey, I think I will never leave the baby's room. It already feels like a happy place to be, even better than our bedroom.

24 Weeks

Here are some new pictures from today at 24 weeks. I have a rash from the pregnancy and I dont know if you will be able to tell, but it makes taking pictures not so fun. I also have new ultrasound pictures of the baby's face and ting-ting. I will scan them later but for now I just took pictures of them.....

So, alot has happened over the last couple weeks. I posted a blog about my ear infection, and after a few days my ear drum ruptured. It was painful. When I saw my ultrasound doctor yesterday, he recommended that I go see a ear, nose, and throat specialist. He also recommended that I go see a dermatologist since I caught ringworm from a little boy I know and its only become worse over the past 6 weeks. And if that wasn't enough to worry about, yesterday Jay and I found out that the baby's kidneys were larger than normal 4 weeks ago but the doctor and his nurses failed to tell us this until yesterday. Ugh. This is why I have new ultrasound pictures because the baby has to be monitored now, most likely for the rest of the pregnancy, but yesterday everything appeared to have gone back to normal. The doctor says its nothing to worry about now that the kidneys are no longer enlarged but if they get an abnormal reading again then someone might have to look at the baby after he is born. He also said that sometimes this abnormality is linked to down syndrome which raised my risk factor a little bit but I still have a 1 and 950 chance so thats not too bad. Jay is not worried at all, and I'm not too worried about it now that I talked to the doctor about it but it still pisses me off that we weren't told. Doctors are idiots.
On the bright side of things, we saw our baby again and this time he is so much bigger and chubbier. His face and body were so much more defined, it was amazing!! He looks perfect and thinking about his little hands and feet makes me want to cry. We will have another ultrasound at 28 weeks so there will be more pictures of him then. Yay!
